Working on new hats

I've got mineral makeup in some great colors - Handmade by me :)

Hello... recently I started making mineral makeup, eye shadows, lotions and perfume and just fell in love with it all. I took a color class back in art college and I'm so happy that I remember everything. Anyway, I sell at Etsy where everything is supposed to be "hand made" but that didn't last long and the import people have taken over so it's really hard to sell there. The colors I make are very bold and vibrant, glide on and stay put! Except for a few of the very bright colors, they are 100% natural but the bright colors are all FDA approved ingredients (mother nature just can't product a bright red mica mineral). I have a color chart that came out a little small but you can get the idea of the wild colors I make. For those interested, I offer samples of my perfumes, foundations and eye shadows at cost - .60 cents for the first sample and .25 cents after that (Outside the US is $1.00 for the first sample, .25 cents after that). It's just my way of trying to get people interested in my product line and I know how hard it is to buy makeup and perfume over the internet. Please contact me if you are interested.

A new section on my shop

Gothic Mini Lace Up Skirt for sale

It measures 14 and 2/8'' from the top to the hem. The waist measures aprox. 30.5 inches when flat, but it stretches a bit - my waist measures 32 inches and it fits me. I would say a size Medium. The ribbon is removable if you want to use it in another color.
In very good condition - it just doesn't fit my style anymore. Asking $20, including shipping to the US. Please contact me if you are interested.

NEW CONTEST!!

This tribe have being very quiet, so it's time to spice it up. We have another contest coming! The same rules of the last time apply, so here they are:

Everyone can participate, with one or more submissions.
Here is what you have to do:
You have to create a Gothic project. Whatever you want, whatever the size, whatever the use of it (or lack of thereof). It can be home decor, jewelry, a piece of clothing... When it's finished, you have to post a picture of it in the gallery. Pics of objects that are already there WILL NOT COUNT toward the results. When posting the pic, you have to specify "Contest" in the description or title.

Some rules:
You can't just paint something black and argue it's goth. Sure it is, but I am asking for a more complex design than just change its color.
Food or drinks will not be valid. Although I like graveyard cakes, Halloween cookies or red drinks, I don't consider them "a project".
Poetry or any form or writing will not be valid (stories, essays, etc.).
The final date for submission will be March 21, 12 am. If the pic is submitted at 12:01 am of March 22, it will not be considered posted on time.

I will decide the winner, and there will be a prize, of course, courtesy of Kaleidoskopic Romance.

Here is another piece I just finished... its made from birds feet, feathers, and weasel skulls. The leaves and stems are patinated copper.
For reasons that should be obvious to many reading this I call this piece Fluers De Mal. I will be showing it in an art show in Latye January, and after that it will be for sale, probably on my Etsy site.

playing at purses

I started making different types of purses with metal kiss-clasp handles recently -- posted an example of one I made in bw stripes with pink touches. I've also got a steampunk-ish one in the works (still needs a handle & I can't decide what style will work best). The first few were more strictly historical to go with my costumes, but I don't have close-up pix yet.

If I make more, maybe I'll open an Etsy shop or put them up on my Gothic Martha Stewart site at trystancraft.com.

Bear in mind that they are not regular size, they measure 5 and 1/2 inches. You attach them to your head with a satin bow under your chin.

I just posted this on the gothic bellydance tribe too so sorry for the repeat. As I posted earlier my friend Noah and I are making and selling gothic clothing on ebay. We just got done doing a round and we're working on the next one. I'd love to hear some ideas on what you all would like to see. I sew and he paints. What type of clothing would you like to see? Or something besides clothing like alter cloths or pillows? And what would you like to see painted on them? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I do, and I am going insane! What was I thinking when I said to myself, "OK, lets make a coverlet for the bed"? Such big project is taking a lot of time, patience, sleepless nights and work.
Nether less to say, I will put a picture here when I finish. Hopefully, that will be tomorrow. Then, another project will begin... This is an endless story :)

Goth Lace Necklaces

The other night I started digging around my room for pieces of lace, bows, beads, etc. and I stayed up until the early hours of the morning working on a necklace. It's a little rough around the edges (its the first one like it ive ever made) but i think it turned out ok. It's a strip of black ribbon with some black crocheted lace hand sewn onto it. I then sewed on tiny black ribbon roses and I recycled an old necklace wtih black stone beads and sewed them on and I put a clasp on the back. I haven't taken any pictures yet, but its my new favorite accessory. I've worn it every day since.

I'm thinking I would like to make more and possibly even sell them. It didn't turn out perfect the first time though. I need more practice. That and maybe I should learn my way around a sewing machine. I'm wondering if anybody has any tips/suggestions. I'm also wondering if anybody knows of maybe an internet source for finding supplies, as craft stores only seem to carry non-generic items I would like around Halloween. Thanks.

hi i'm new- my nams cassadra and i live in minnesota.. in a VERY boring town....i am about to post some pictures of my most recent gothy creations... lately i have been whipping out lots of jewelry for my new etsy store( eggnogbrownies.etsy.com )...

hmm memorable gothy crafts...
once i made a birthday cake for my art teacher in high school... in the shape of his head. it was a red velvet cake with raspberry filling in between the layers. it was pretty gorey. he loved it.

the band "ghoul" came to play a show and i made them sugar cookies with royal icing blood, brains, and eyeballs...

we have a 4 poster canopy bed, and as a support for our canopy i wove a spiderweb of black yarn across the supports...

one of my hobbies when i lived alone as to make fake weapons (mostly from books and video games) out of random things from home depot and add "blood" to them to make them look used and epic...

i helped my best friend paint his old stationwagon black, and create a pirate battle on the dash board

i "crafted" many costumes for my mom out of my own gothy clothes and some paint and various other things (does that count?)

i designed my prom dress wich was neon green and black, wore steel toed boots and fishnets with it (i looked badass)

Hi. I'm a novice in the world of craft, but I love it. And I can't quite figure out how to post pictures here. So, if you look in my profile you can see my play-doh alien autopsy and cthulu, some costumes I've made and stuff like that there.

My current project is gothifying an already gothy mirror...one of my neighbors worked in set design for the stage and left a coffin-shaped mirror. It's cool but rather battered and needs an overhaul.
