actually, it is thunderstorming here. i love it! my older 2 boys went out and danced around in lighter rain earlier, my oldest was singing loudly. i am feeling gouda. i bought myself a hematite bead necklace and it is really helping keep me grounded.............oh i need it. i am reading my boys "the hobbit" and we have 2 chapters left. i guess peter jackson is going to make the hobbit movie! wooohoooo! and ian mackellen is going to play gandalf again. i hope ian holm plays bilbo!

Re: 'tis rainin"........
Tue, May 13, 2008 - 12:08 AMThe storms on saturday didn't seem as heavy as they were in other places, though the winds were fairly gusty (and the radar map was showing vortex signatures left and right). The lights flickered a couple times, but that was about it. Power went out to quite a few others, so I've heard. My fiancee tackled the almighty sewing machine, without breaking it as well. Until saturday she had this nasty habit of breaking them whenever she tried to use them. I kept telling her that she'd have better luck this time! ^_^ -

Sat, May 17, 2008 - 6:44 AMI know a woman who wants to start an eco-village and already has the land. I need to talk more to her about that. It's about half an hour from Portland. -

Re: 'tis rainin"........
Sat, May 17, 2008 - 8:37 PMDoes it really matter where you set up your Village, as long as there is Love and Understanding that forms the basis of it. Do not allow one to control everything because if that one doesn't get their own way......it can all fall apart. All the hard work down the drain!
It can be a hard thing to set up, but once going, so many can benefit from this, especially the Children!

Sun, May 18, 2008 - 2:27 PMActually I prefer Bears at a distance, a long distance. Same goes for Cougars and Wolves Sharks , Tigers, Leopards, Lions , anything that might happen to think I'm edible and is hungry. -

Re: 'tis rainin"........
Mon, May 19, 2008 - 12:55 PMAh Will, you can avoid the bears simply by wearing jingles on your clothes. Bears react when startled, but will avoid you if they know you are coming. You do know when a bear is in your area? Just look for the skat with jingles in it. -

Re: 'tis rainin"........

Re: 'tis rainin"........
Tue, May 20, 2008 - 12:58 AMPerhaps I should wear a Santa suit? That should chase em away ! Bard could wear an elf's outfit. -
-
Re: 'tis rainin"........
Tue, May 20, 2008 - 1:13 AMThat would definitely send them packing.........matter of a fact, they would probably flee the country all together!
I don't need an Elf's suit to scare anything.....just look at my face......!!!!!!! -
