Need help and contributions for an art project at PDF

Frome the Spray Dogs

We will be attending PDF for the first time this year and bringing our horizontal spray paint show and teaching anyone who wants to learn. We will also be tagging t-shirts.

Bur the big project That we want to do will need some help...

Anyone want to help with an art project for PDF?

I'm going to try and create a scale version of the playa at PDF this year and
am looking for anyone that would be interested in bring a mini art
insulation to set up on it.

Ever wanted to be the person who created the "Man" Ever wanted to
create the temple, or one of those amazing art instlations on the playa???
Well here is you chance, but in miniature.
And who knows may be some one will se your project and want to help
you build it out on the playa some day, (Think of it as a way to
advertise a project you've always wonted to do.)

GP planning 2007

Hello fellow Granite Planet troops! Thank you for your inquiries re: GP and planning for 2007.

I would love to do another survey of the land for scoping theme camp locations, but first I will have to know how many theme camps are planning on attending. I will put an announcement out to the network. Since there is no snow (blasted global warming!) this means we can see the grounds just fine. The institute is open to the public any time so please feel free to go and gander as much as you'd like. I have a good general idea of where things could be situated and if you have any suggestions or special requests, I'd be glad to hear them.

I will be setting up a PayPal system soon so that you can get your paws on lower tier tickets as soon as possible. The first tier (100 tickets) will be $20 - not a bad price to pay for 4 days of camping in a pristine art sculpture mountain institute of self-expression and community!

I am forging through the other logistics (permits, portapotties, pendants) so that everything should be squared away by the springtime and then we can tackle the fun stuff - theme camps, art projects, and volunteers - before the event.

There are 174 days until Granite Planet starts and 246 days until the Man burns!

When would be a good time for you all to meet this winter? I am away for a couple of days over christmas break, and from the 1st to the 9th of January, but will be back in town after that as school starts up again on the 14th.

6/21/07 coincidence?

I was listening to a radio show that touched upon numerology, astrology, and of course the winter solstice tomorrow. Since Granite Planet will be starting on 6/21 (summer solstice), I found it really interesting that is also the anniversary of New Hampshire becoming a state in 1788 - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/June_21
