There are a few on my profile but I will try to upload some this week!

Thanks for the warm welcome - Pyr people are typically the nicest people.... but maybe I'm just biased :)

      What a cutie pie.
Nah, I wouldn't say that your being biased.
But you can definitely say that our bark is way worse than our bite.
      Hee hee

He's SOOO handsome, what's his name? How old is he?

I really think that Pyr people are super nice, too...I'm actually surprised that there aren't more on Tribe.

I think that Pyr owners generally have to be the sort who are pretty easy going...putting up with all the hair, and all the room they take up, their barking (sometimes for reasons only they know!), all the water that somehow makes it OUTSIDE of the water bowl, etc. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining...but all that isn't for the "regular" pet lover. I took Zuke to the vet today, and with having the windows slightly down, there is white hair ALL over the inside of my car...oh, and the best part...while we were driving, hair kept blowing around and sticking to my lipstick!

Ah, but he's the love of my life LOL

My Male is George (Charbonneau's Here Comes the Sun) and my Female is Mocha (Charbonneau's Ultimate Blend). This December George will be 4 and Mocha, 3. They are 1/2 siblings, sharing the same mother. They are my second and third Pyrs - my first was their grandmother, Lux. The greatest dog who has ever lived... Last Friday marked the 1st anniversary of her passing. I'm just happy I can still have dogs directly descended from her. Mocha reminds me sooo much of her....

You are soooo right - it takes a special breed of human to handle our breed of dog! When I first met my boyfriend Dan, he was not too happy with all the fur and drool. Not that he loves it now, but he has accepted it which is HUGE since he is a complete neat freak. George decided that Dan would be his best friend the moment they met and since then, 3 years ago, there has been no looking back!

I just put George up on the table and groomed him out last Friday and it looked like a couple poodles exploded.... that never ceases to make me laugh! The fur in the lipstick though - that's just plain annoying! Ever had fur stuck, then hardened to your mascara? What am I asking... of course you have..... :)

I'll try to post some more pics later this week! I better get back to work now... :)

Kealsey is me and my husbands first Pyr. and I so want to get another one.

LOL How about when you give that loving kiss (with chap stick on) and then you are spitting the hair out for about a 1/2 hour. I agree it does take a special breed of person to have a Pyr. Though you gotta love how they just give you that look of ya you love me you know it.

I'm sorry to hear about Lux, I've had a few dogs that have passed and it never seems to get easer.

I'd love to get another Pyr, too...but I fear I would have to get a larger car! I have a black lab mix who is only 50 lbs (named Louise) and she and Zuke cuddle up in the back seat whenever we go somewhere. My car is very roomy, but not enough for Zuke, Louise, and another Pyr *sigh* so I'll just have to make do with the present situation :)

A friend of mine had a 1970's VW Bug and her Saint and Pyr would somehow squish together in the front passenger seat! Anything is possible! I have a 4 door Wrangler so have plenty of room. I actually just got a new plate that reads "4MYPYRS" It used to say For Lux because I got rid of my regular Wrangler and went to a Liberty once she got a little older - it was her birthday present. Thanks for the consonances, by the way Vikki. You are right that it never gets easy but at least Pyrs are the longest lived and generally healthiest of the Giant breeds!
