From the Old Line to the Wolverine

Hey folks! Now that the madness created by another fantastic run through Colorado and other points West has been eased by a few days of R&R, it’s time once again to hit the road. Greensky Bluegrass will be opening for our good friends Railroad Earth three consecutive days this week. Starting off Tuesday at The Blind Pig in Ann Arbor, and then moving on to the Beachland Ballroom and Tavern in Cleveland, OH on Wednesday, with the double bill finishing up Thursday in Pittsburgh at the historic Rex Theatre, a landmark of the South Side for more than 90 years. These shows all promise to be filled with great music and good times. Come on out and join in the jams!

On Friday, July 13 the boys will stare directly into the face of the omens of evil and play our first gig at the Big Claw Bar and Grill in Cresaptown, MD. Located about 7 miles south of Cumberland, MD on Route 220, we hope to satisfy the requests of some of you folks who wrote asking for more Maryland shows.

The last show on this 5 shows in 5 days tour finds GSBG back at one of their all time favorite venues, The Purple Fiddle. Show starts at 8:30 and, as is always the case at the Fiddle, children of all ages are invited to come and dance the night away.

Michigander’s Delight!

Back on home turf again, first up on July 20th is a bluegrass barbecue at Elks Park in Muskegon. The cost of this fine evening of entertainment is only $15. Food will be available for purchase as well as a cash bar. There are picnic tables at the venue, but we suggest bringing your own lawn chairs to get down and get comfy. One week later it’s the long awaited return of the Hoxeyville Music Festival. A favorite festival with loads of local and regional artists, Greensky will be playing on Friday and Sunday evenings. Also various members of the band will be participating in workshops over the entire weekend.

On August the 2nd the band returns to its home base, the infamous Bell's Brewery, for a jam packed evening of entertainment. This show is a kickoff for a long weekend at the 2007 Sleeping Bear Dunegrass and Blues Festival in Empire, Michigan. The schedule for this great festival includes such acts as Keller Williams, Dark Star Orchestra, Peter Rowan, Railroad Earth, and many other fine musicians. Don’t miss this one folks! It’s sure to be one for the ages.

As always, more information for these and all other upcoming shows can be found by following the link to:

Hope to see y’all down the road!!!!!!!!!
