I know she had the hiccups and an operation to help her esophagus. Did she get sepsis from it?

Well, there was certainly some sort of complication. Whether it was from the surgery or something else, I'm not clear on that point.
I'm really disappointed that they killed off Mare Winningham's character. It was great seeing her in a weekly TV series.
Looks like she has a movie coming out this year, though. :) -

Fri, May 11, 2007 - 9:55 AMMeredith's dad is a real bastard. I felt so bad for her last night. Glad she was able to get a hug from the chief and take her exam. I guess they are trying to show us what went on between Mer's mom and her dad. -

Fri, May 11, 2007 - 12:49 PMI was surprised when Mer was the one that had to tell her dad the bad news last week. It probably would have been better coming from one of the other doctors, and I think that is how it would have been handled in "real life".
