While we're at it... another cross-posting: some of the Georgians used to have a source for some very small points, suitable for ties on shirt collar and cuffs. I haven't been able to find those things in - woo - has it been 25 years?
If any group knows where to find the things these days, I figure this is the crowd.

Re: Points
Sat, June 7, 2008 - 8:27 PMI actually know someone who's teaching a class in making aglets next weekend (June 14th) at the West Kingdom's Arts & Sciences Tourney in Milpitas. In the SCA he's Vyncent atte Woodgate, if that helps any.
I haven't seen the ones he's been making, so I don't know how small they are, but it's a good bet. I'm planning to at least drop in.
(It's a weekend crammed with great classes -- obligatory plug!)
BTW: Points are the long stringy things -- what we might call "lacing cords." Aglets are the metal tips you put on the ends. Pedants R Us.
