Is it possible for someone who is not enlightened to know for sure whether someone else is enlightened?

Re: Enlightenment?
Tue, April 24, 2007 - 10:43 AMThe first step in getting an enlightened being to reveal to you his qualifications is to have faith. It may not be possible to have faith in someone you don't know very well. This is where it is important to spend time w the entity and question him. He/she should be living and speaking in line w the scriptures (vedas).
*Please note: it doesn't mean one is ABSOLUTELY NOT enlightened if they aren't hooked up with that sort of religious dogma, but in almost all cases, the enlightened being will be totally renounced and lined up with transcendental truth which is ONE real truth. I wouldn't reccommend trusting a guru who is not a renunciate, but I would also not reccommend ASSUMING any vaisnava is not enlightened either. Vaisnavas can sometimes be tricky, especially in the case of Krnsa and his Gokula associates.
If an aspiring devotee of Lord Krsna can begin to develop faith in sad-guru and surrender all to the lotus feet of sad-guru, that perfected being will begin to reveal himself and all transcendental knowledge to the devotee. At this point, Krsna Consciousness becomes factual science. Got is Sahajo?
