the 16th annual
Women's Weekend Workshop
ANCIENT ECHOES OF TRIBAL BELLYDANCE
Celebrating Women and Community
Tribal Vision
with Paulette Rees Denis,
Gypsy Caravan,
Again with very special guest instructors,
Amel Tafsout and Lynea Gillen
at Breitenbush Hot Springs - April 24-26, 2008
Honor yourself with the power of your dance and the power of your words. In our vibrant circle of women, you will create your own dance within the communal and improvisational structure of Tribal Bellydance and beyond.
All levels are welcome for the weekend although some experience of belly dance is necessary.
(Not for non-dancers please)
The weekend will include Paulette’s invigorating tribal style belly dance instruction, workout, and journaling sessions;
along with Lynea’s Yoga for bellydancers and her hot blend of African Tribal dance.
Add Amel’s singing and healing dances, and what a weekend!
Be ready to sweat and groove, dance and laugh.
Included in the weekend fee are all of your vegetarian meals, the various dance classes, time for soaking in geo-thermal hot tubs and sweating in the amazing sauna, your shared rustic and cozy cabin (roommate requests taken but not guaranteed), down time for a massage which must be scheduled in advance. On Friday night, to help with our dance and journaling sessions, we will have a chocolate feast! On Saturday night, we have our infamously informal salon for you to show us your stuff—be it dance, poetry, a song, whatever; and share some of your writing if you desire. (Schedule subject to change!) We will send you an info packet with the schedule and what to bring as we get closer to the dates!
Retreat starts Friday night at dinner until Sunday at noon before lunch.
Breitenbush Hot Srpings is a 2 ½ hour drive south east of Portland, in the mountains. Space is limited and sells out quickly, so get your deposit in right away!
