Nope I won't be coming to the festival although one of these years I am gonna make it out. I have been so swamped with school that I haven't been to dance class in months and have only spun fire maybe three times since october. Hopefully it will pay off and in the future I can go these really great events.

Turn on the lanterns and spin some glow poi, drink some beer. Reminds me: I need to bring xtra chairs... We'll just have to text/ call each other.
Saturday I'm going to the afterparty with my grrlfriend, but I'm hoping to stay and watch Obsidian Butterfly...

Mon, May 5, 2008 - 2:03 PMHey kids -- just called the campground and fire IS allowed in a contained unit... like a deep BBQ, but I don't think my firepit will cut it (as it doesn't have sides, just a flat rounded dish). Do y'all have a bigger BBQ, deep dish style? I have a little Hibachi but it's crap... I'm going to see if I can borrow us something. Or, I may try bringing the firepit, have an extinguisher by it and see what they say/ see what the ground is like (not a lot of dry grass). *I* trust it, we've been using it in the SCA for years and the SCA has the most stringent fire laws of anyone I know, I just dunno what the campground will say.
Bring a couple chem-logs, just in case...? We'll see. Also it depends on whether we'd actually use it for any amount of time on Friday night. I don't want to build a fire and then have to sit up waiting for it to die down (though I'm fine with pouring water on it).
