Perhaps I read a little too much Emma Goldman in my early teens; perhaps I never envied Donna Reed... But I know that I can remain happily unmarried for the rest of my life.
People have a hard time understanding and accepting this. They say to me "Oh, I felt that way too until I met (insert spouse's name here)". Ok...well, that's great for you, but please don't patronize me or my belief system.
I have other plans besides dinner and soccer practice.
