Ok, so... there’s this certain stigma that goes along with being a single woman, growing older, and owning a cat (or seventeen. but who’s counting?). Anyway... I say, fuck that. I would rather be the crazy old cat lady in the neighborhood than the local MILF, or the barfly who’s on her 8th husband, or just plain bitter because I felt I had to conform to the 'social norms' of the spouse-house-and kid thing. So, because of this I proudly post a drawing of my cat, Stacy. I'd post a photo if I had one... but I don’t at the moment. I don't have 100's of photos of my kitty lying around the house. I’m not a nut that visits sears portrait studios once a year shots of “us” to send as holiday cards. What do you think I am?! Some crazy old cat lady??

Re: crazy old cat lady
Tue, October 25, 2005 - 8:29 AMYes, once you pass the age of 28 and are still single, the cats start arriving at your doorstep like samples of Tide. I still only have one myself, the same I have had since college. He is 19 now, and my longest relationship.

Tue, October 25, 2005 - 10:44 PMhahah. Yeah, my last cat I had for 18 years, I had him forever... loved him lots. I can only handle one at a time tho.
I got a house plant about a month ago... a basil plant, thought it would be nice..smelled good, good for cooking ect...
well, it turned black in a week.
Stacy and I both got nervous. I guess we're not going to push our luck with "live things" and "responsiblities".
