FREE HUGS has a humble and simple beginning...

In the aftermath of a profound event in his life, Jason Hunter walked the South Beach sands in contemplation of the human spirit. He had just lost a person who embodied faith, love and hope; all with a simple hug.

The loving aspect of the human spirit was something he counted on, yet as he looked into the faces of others who passed, he had the sudden, overwhelming urge to share what he had all his life, a free hug.

Knowing it was far-fetched, but it would turn heads, Jason painted a sign that read, "FREE HUGS," which changed his contemplated walk to an upstart campaign to embrace as many people as possible.

Noticing Jason with the FREE HUGS sign, a young woman was pleasantly surprised. Without asking what FREE HUGS represented, she immediately embraced Jason. This first hug snowballed into a long line of people waiting to give hugs.

Trying FREE HUGS out the next day produced a greater response. Amazement seeped into Jason's being when he realized what FREE HUGS could become.

Jason decided to market FREE HUGS as an icon of community and prosperity. Branding the logo on clothing (something everyone uses) was a logical step in this venture.

As of today, FREE HUGS consists of a sale of products and a place of networking; bringing people together.
