Hi all!
I've just moved to the area and am looking for a new belly dance "home" but I'm having some trouble getting information about the Harvest Moon studio! Any help anyone can provide would be more than appreciated!
I've been belly dancing off and on for 6 years now, so I need information about what class to come to, when, and how much the fees are. Also, I saw on the website that there is a Super Sunday workshop coming up but can't find further information on it. Is anyone welcome to come? What is the fee?
Thanks so much!
Whitney

Re: Can a girl get some information?
Fri, March 28, 2008 - 8:26 AMI'm in almost the same exact situation, word for word! New to the area, danced on and off for years, etc. I tried the phone a few times, but didn't get through. I'd really love to learn more and dance more and make some local friends. Thanks! - Cara -

Fri, March 28, 2008 - 10:02 AMHi Ladies,
I'm sorry for your trouble in getting in touch with us, I have no idea what is wrong with the phone but you have found the perfect spot for info.

7-8 pm Introduction (Begins April 3rd)************
The introductory program is designed to give the students a basic introduction to isolation techniques and basic belly dance movements. This course is a requisite for Level 1.
If you have already been dancing for a while and know all the basic movements and techniques I'm sure Damiana will let you skip the intro and go into a level 1 or perhaps even level 2 depending on your qualifications.
Tuition rates are $45.00 per month for Level 1 and 2 and $125.00 for the full 12 week introductory program.
The studio is located at 1119 Evergreen Drive in Longview right across from Pietro's Pizza (and walmart supercenter). We are open Monday - Thursday from 4-9pm. 903-759-6780 email- harvestmoondance@gmail.com
If no one answers the phone the best way to get in touch with me is through email (I have a desk job so I'm at the computer allll day long.)
If you are interested in signing up for a class stop by the studio Monday between 4-6 to figure out which class you need to register for and Damiana will be there to help you out.
If you have any more questions between now and then feel free to PM me.
Thanks for inquiring and hope to see you soon!

Re: Can a girl get some information?
Fri, March 28, 2008 - 3:35 PMAs of right now our demands are primarily cabaret because the majority of our students are still in beginner level. There are a few ladies in the upper levels who are interested in tribal style so maybe in the future we can add that to our schedule. -

Re: Can a girl get some information?
Fri, March 28, 2008 - 4:57 PMThats good to know, I'm more of a tribal girl myself, have had a couple classes in ATS and love it-the improv style vs choreography really suits me. But cabaret has a certain flair to it as well! From what I've seen on the website, photos and such, at least the bedazzled bra/belt combo isn't the only costuming people wear! (though on certain body types this looks great, it just isn't really my style, for my body)

Re: Can a girl get some information?
Fri, March 28, 2008 - 9:42 AMHarvest Moon just recently moved from Gilmer to Longview. Try Amber the moderator or you can call Damiana the studio owner at
903)515-0349 of 903)759-6789. If that doesn't work, let me know, I'm in close contact with Damiana & I'll let her know you two are looking for her.
