However, there exists a local building (Stanyan betw. Beulah &amp; Frederick) which is already a City Landmark, is unoccupied (and slowly deteriorating), and has no specified place in the GGP Master Plan: <br/> <br/>Emergency Aid Station <br/>• accessibility and general <br/>upgrade needed <br/>• new facility for <br/>recreational activities <br/>• landmark structure <br/> <br/>It would take some extensive upgrading of the unreinforced masonry to contemporary earthquake standards but perhaps an assessment could be made by the City Engineer's Office. <br/> <br/>Park Emergency Aid Station. This structure <br/>served as a San Francisco Department of Public <br/>Health emergency hospital from 1902 until 1978. <br/>It continued as an ambulance station until 1991. <br/>The building will require extensive work for <br/>accessibility and seismic improvements to make it <br/>suitable for a new use. If the improvements can be <br/>made, the structure may provide a new location for <br/>recreational activities. Oh, must get a better pic of myself up here. :-) <br/>I have done several paranormal/supernatural investigations over the last twenty years. Some in Europe, some in Vancouver. One in Quebec. these are mostly house hauntings or occupations. I am also a spiritualist, I'd like to say rather than psychic. Since being able to 'see' and 'hear' and 'sense' paranormal things, I took a course by the international ghost hunters society, and completed it successfully. I now am working on 2nd level Emotional Freedom Technique therapist course, so I can continue working as an alternative counsellor and use myabilities on that level. There is not much call for dehaunting houses here in Ottawa, or to investigate sites. I have been on t.v. (Discovery channel) to examine our local haunted Gaol the old jail in Ottawa, and as well, the local museum down by the St. Laurent river. I've investigated several houses in Ottawa, Metcalf, Budapesh, and saw many people. Most cases should take one or two visits and I only bring my polaroid instant developing camera to see what paranormal phenomena might come up. I still do the work when called for. I'm presently developing a cd with my resume: services and products, motivational speaking, books that I've published in the past and so on. I would be glad to answer any queries people may have on this subject.
