There are no hoop dance classes that I know of in Honolulu (I'm fairly new here), but there's a hoop jam on the Big Island on Thursday nights and a fire spinning jam on Fridays at a place in Kalapana called SPACE: www.hawaiispace.com/

Also on the Big Island not far from SPACE is Kalani Retreat Center that holds ecstatic dance every Sunday morning. I've brought my hoop and danced there. They might also want to host a workshop: www.kalani.com/

Here in Honolulu I've been having a hoop jam with the fire artists and acrobats on Queen's beach every Sunday night at 5pm (right across from the Zoo). The only thing is that I'll be visiting the Mainland at the same time that you're going to be here, so I won't get to meet you.

As you already found out, there's a fire jam on Monday nights in Honolulu. These are really nice people and some beautiful spinners! Hope you have a great time here on the islands. Aloha,
