my husband likes sleeping on a board and I actually like it sometimes...however our super duper, super hard, hardest on the market, filled with more springs than any mattress sometimes is hard when my boney areas feel tender...
so I bought a fiberfill queensize feather bed, covered it with a duvet and folded it in half. It is just the right size for my side of the king.
I notice as soon as I got on, that my joints all relaxed, and I look forward tonight to bed instead of dreading it. I even told my husband I was going to start to sleep on guest bed (which is a pillowtop)..
this new addition should suffice, then maybe when I am in the mood for a board, I will remove the feather bed..
anyone else here have this experience with changing sleep patterns because of joint or tenderness spots?

Re: body has tender spots
Mon, August 21, 2006 - 7:17 PMI have a egg shell cover thing, over a futon, over a mattress. I like it as soft as it can be without being a waterbed.
sorry, no experience with sleeping on a board. That seems like it would hurt my hips and shoulders. I want them to be able to dig into the mattress a bit.
