Seaweed

I went to the Pacific Ocean today here in Oregon and collected some seaweed. I guess I kind of did it in an amature way because now I am home and don't really know what kind it is or how to dry it. Also wondering if there were any wrong kinds of seaweed to collect. Does anyone know of any good websites on this subject?
