Of all the things I have never understood.
The Power of words. They have two sides. They can hurt and they can heal.
They say that words can never hurt you. They were wrong. However, among friends, the words can make you laugh, heal, be happy, feel loved, feel needed, feel wanted.
There are at least three healers for sure that I know of in this Tribe. I do not believe I have ever met three such wonderful men who are strong, steady and sure. honest and open, caring and thoughtful. You three know who you are. You were there when someone needed you and you came through. Made me cry dang it.....hugs. It is a privelage and an honor to know you...

Re: Healing words
Mon, May 7, 2007 - 10:05 PMWords can hurt, it has happened to me on several occasions1People just don't think because they aren't like that, so why should they care! When they have a child like that, they say, WHY should this happen to me
It is then they realize that it doesn't matter any more and try to live the best that they can! I have a son with the same thing as myself and we are learning to live together.
It is scary at times, especially when we both get Emotional.
We are getting There..........All is Well, bard -

Re: Healing words
Mon, May 7, 2007 - 10:15 PMI can understand that. Living day to day, would make it extremely hard not to show emotion. It is very hard to remain completely logical to someone that you love so much, that you cannot help yourself. It is in the reminding them Bard Love, that you love them so much, that you cannot help show emotion. It does help, maybe not in the moment, but in the long run it helps.
Love you Bard -

Wed, July 11, 2007 - 9:54 PMA Traditional Scottish Blessing.
World peace may feel unattainable, but truly it can all start with each one of us. Read this inspiring ancient Celtic blessing that shows us the way:
If there is righteousness in the heart
If there is righteousness in the heart,
there will be beauty in the character.
If there is beauty in the character,
there will be harmony in the home.
If there is harmony in the home,
there will be order in the nation.
If there is order in the nation,
there will be peace in the world.
So let it be.

Re: Healing words
Sat, September 15, 2007 - 3:46 AMHi everyone
Yep, 'nothing yet all', that's words: they can pick you up or knock you down, inspire or leave you thinking "Uh?" for the rest of the day!
Just to introduce myself: I'm Keith from Portugal (though English). I've been using writing as therapy and a path of self/spiritual development for many . .. alongside Reiki healing which I teach. Have just published a book of poems from my 'journey' which members of this tribe may find worth a look: 'A Brave New World Emerging' - see www.lulu.com/content/567008
I'm, also a menber of the UK based organisation LAPIDUS, which is for anyone who uses words therapeutically - personally and professionally: see www.lapidus.org.uk
May your writing bring you release and peace
Keith
