i never considered this, but it does make sense that all the drugs people take end up in the drinking water. of course, "the public 'doesn't know how to interpret the information' and might be unduly alarmed."

Sun, March 9, 2008 - 3:39 PMI had heard about this. Many people also flush outdated or unused meds down the toilet. I had some leftover pills from my surgery last year. I asked a nurse at the hospital about this and she said, "Why would you do that? You can get $3 a pill down at the Green." I was flabbergasted that a health care worker would even joke about selling unused drugs to others.

Sun, March 9, 2008 - 8:21 PMWow. When you think about drug consumption in this country, and how MUCH of this is flushed, pissed, and thrown away, it's easy to draw relationships between certain modern human ills and the water we consume every day. Scary.
Really scary for the children, especially.
