Tragic Zilling Accident
Ugh. Look away! Overzealous beginner hurts herself.
What I learned the hard way:
1) Warm up with some wrist circles or slow zilling to start.
2) ~Gently~ stretch your wrists, fingers and thumb.
3) Try to keep your arms and wrists as relaxed as possible (palms down) especially when you are starting out. You can get fancy later. I kept twisting my arms and wrists into funny contortions (palms up) and that's how I hurt myself.
4) The muscle energy for zilling is coming from the forearm, just south of the elbow. Be aware of strain in this area, don't overdo it and give yourself a little massage when you are done.
5) Happy zilling!
