We are in our second year. It is our hope that we can continue to grow our membership with witty, creative,
talented people who need a free place to display their art, photography, writing and so forth.

>>>>>>> This is the ONLY appropriate thread to post requests for help and so forth. <<<<<<<<
All post of the help me, I have a question nature in other places will be gently removed, posthaste.

Q: Why should I choose Heartside.Tribe, there are plenty of places on the Internet?

A: Because Heartside.Tribe was started to provide independent artists, photographers, writers, musicians,
and DIY'ers if all descriptions a free place to showcase their talent. Heartside neighbors are talented people
and they needed a spot on the web to show the world what they can do.

Q: Is Heartside.Tribe a private group or can anyone join?

A: Anyone can join, however the user 'Heartside' who moderates this tribe, will take a look at
your user site for purposes of promotion and featured content listings, so show off your great work!

Q: Are there any restrictions on content?

A: Yes and no. We want the widest audience possible for your work therefore, we request you post only
content suitable for all ages in the Heartside.Tribe discussion forums and tribe photo listings. We require
you you to refrain from posting artwork, or written material which reference explicit sexual content.
Example:
a nude is within the guidelines as long as breasts and genitals are not visible. [period]
Written material which contains any description of explicit sexual acts, racisim, user-flames
trolling or spamming is not allowed in the public tribe posting. [period]

Q: I have something I'd like to trade, sell, barter or I need to something, Can I post here?

A: Yes! Your artwork, photography, music, white elephant sale, roommate request and so on
are welcome in the Listings forum or the Requests forums. Generally, tribe lets them stand
for thirty days. It will notify you of the status of your listing at least once as well as let you know
when your listing is about to expire. If your goal was not met, you are free to repost in the appropriate place.

HOWEVER... Blatent commercial spamming will not be tolerated. If your post is not in the appropriate
place, most likely a request to move it will arrive in your Inbox. If it is not taken care of, it will be deleted
without notice within 48 hours. You are free to repost appropriately.

Debate and discussion is what makes life interesting. It challenges our paradigms, makes us question
ourselves and hopefully motivates us to grow. That's all good and welcome here.

We hope your association with Heartside.Tribe is a stimulating and satisfying one.
Welcome aboard!

    Further information:

We have a sister network, Heartside GR Network on PeopleAggrigator heartside.peopleaggregator.net

Why is that you ask? On PeopleAggrigator, you can sign in with your Flickr Id and have access to all your Flickr
content across networks. Rumor has it that Tribe's 'FOAF' (friend of a friend file) will be ported to open networks.

Networks talking to each other and sharing your inrformation between themselves? Yup.
Why is this a good thing? Because it increases the exposure your artwork receives without you having
to spend hours promoting your page, or the user 'heartside' having to spend days every month
promoting Heartside.Tribe. To date by the way, we are number six on Google.

    Happy 2nd year Heartside Neighbors!

Both OneSimpleHuman and I have created accounts in PeopleAggrigator.
I opened an all access group for FiberArt in the main group listings.
To date, FOAF is not enabled there but I can and do sign in with my
Flickr.com userid and have posted there. Works.

The Grand Rapids Network needs some members as well.
Heartside was the one who started the Heartside Network
and the Grand Rapids Network. No plans to limit the GR Net
      as far as I know.
