Respect Brock I too shy away from manic preachers, though I realize I am indeed proselytizing. The Ideas of the eastern mystics who have explored conciousness for so long intregue me because their Ideas seem so complete. How do they know about nirvana? If the doctrine of no soul is correct, then what lives on in nirvana? These are questions I have About the buddhist experience. Though my inability to answer them is not the reason I do not practice eastern style meditation on cessation of suffering. I worship as I do because after weeding through all of the comb-over christian fake-o's , I have studied about the Bible and though It sometimes seems pretty archaic for this age, the prophetic portions really speak to my heart. Try looking at christ as still alive and he's got some unfinished buisiness to attand to on earth. Where I depart from many people in my faith is in my ability to understand other forms of worship. sermons about hellfire arent going to draw many. If however the Chosen of the last champion focus on love the way many other sanghas do to day, we'd all be alot closer to kingdom come.
