Re: Manhood and the masculine divine
Sat, April 5, 2008 - 2:18 AMOpps kinda the wrong place to ask.. Is that a hornets nest bussing??
But i would guess it depends.. masculinity is many things and aspects too me. Something that has too do with the sexual drive and competetive spirit against other males, would too me be an interesting representative. However i dont think that is a good deity x-D
A good male deity.. Well Hermes is my favorite.. but then he is kinda middle thing. now i know.. Odin! Yes that,s the guy.
I opt for Odin. The wise. Or perhaps Amon. It,s also interesting what sort of roles masculine deitys play. I know very little what the earlier masculine deitys. Something tells me i should say Mithras.. but i know nothing of him.. but then, eh.. i mention him.
I know that alot of magical ritual is over focusing on copulating.. bringing male and female together and all that.. but i think it,s the outcome that is too be sought. The balance. -

Fri, April 18, 2008 - 8:44 AMRead Raven Grimassi - Italian witchcraft ( ways of the strega) It explains. Also stop wasting peoples time by asking so much, you should seek things out yourself. I have now given you the means and to what i belive is a good answer to your question. -

Re: Manhood and the masculine divine
Wed, June 4, 2008 - 9:31 AMOH. well how kind of you to instruct me in my manners. You set a wonderful example.
FOr starters Henrik, im not posting this because i have never read a book on the topic, in fact ive been studying wicca, witchcraft, cultural anthropology, and the religions and rituals of every culture i can find, as well as their gods and goddesses for over twentty years now.
Oh, and if im wasting YOUR time, feel free to stop reading my posts and go and spend your precious time elsewhere, i did not make you answer this post, you chose that all on your own.
I posted this because i want to know what OTHER people see as their model for divine masculinity, i already konw what mine is, its an exercise in the respecting other peoples ideas and opinions without passing judgement, you might want to try something similar sometime. -
