Ever hear of The Brass Ring?

The Brass Ring were the top band for Dunhill Records at the same time Herb Alpert was enjoying his success. Phil Bodner was the leader and still is one of the all time greatest trumpet players around. Dick Hyman was sometimes on Organ! People tended to think he was ripping off Herb, but there's no proof to support that notion (both had charts hits simultaneously). Phil also led the 'Living Jazz' band on RCA Living Stereo and they had really funky records that are great to dig up. The Brass Rings hits were "Love Theme From Flight Of The Phoenix", "The Disadvantages Of You", and several cover tunes of the day . Also, Liberty records, home of the Ventures, had their own in house band called "Trombones Unlimited" that had groovy lounge LPs in the similar vein.

Hope you all had a very Herb-y Holy-day! Okay, let's get down to business:
which is your favorite song? Or rather, what were you doing when that song was playing?
