Hi there, I posted a thread recently asking for advice for a young lady with lupus and rheumatoid problems. Just to keep you posted, I have given her some dried nettle and oatstraw as suggested by the tribe, along with some home-harvested chamomile oil mixed with some clary sage essential oil to rub on her wrists.

She has told me that it is the oil that gives her the most relief and takes the edge off the aches very quickly which has led to a more restful sleep which I am very happy about. Unfortunately her lifestyle is making the condition worse in my opinion as she holds down a stressful management job and has two young children so she is really not getting enough rest. I have suggested that to really keep in control of the illness she might need to lighten her load in her job but that probably is not an option she would take willingly.

Anyway, I just thought I would let you all know that the oil is definitely helping her short-term... any other suggestions would as always be very much appreciated if anyone has something to add.

Blessings

Thanks for the update. One thought I would suspect that oatstraw and nettle will have an impact if she continues to ingest it on a daily basis. You could also suggest she drink a Linden Flower infusion as well. Linden is really good at reducing pain and inflamation. And I am glad you are encouraging her to take care of herself, get rest, hire a baby sitter to give her more R&R, whatever it takes. Since the chamomile is helping, suggest that once a week she do a foot bath with chamomile tea, this will help her relax in ways she may be having trouble doing on her own and may lead to other changes. Help her open the portal to change, even if she makes very small lifestyle changes that can be helpful and can lead to more changes. She is lucky to have your support.
    Blessings
    Linda

Thank you Linda, that is a lovely thing to say. Yes, it will be small steps maybe to changing in little but significant ways. I will keep that in mind for when we talk. I will also take your suggestion for chamomile tea foot soaks to her - as you say, it may help her on more than one level. Ditto the linden infusion, although I have had no experience with the flower remedies as yet.

      Thank you so much,

      Lorraine
