Has anyone worked with this plant? It is so abundant, the berries are striking this time of and I am thinking about making wine and jelly with them. Does anyone have experience working with these berries?

According to Grieve's Herbal: The ripe berries furnish an acidulous and astringent gargle for sore throats and inflamed tonsils. For their anti-scorbutic properties, they have been used in scurvy. The astringent infusion is used as a remedy in haemorrhoids and strangury. The berreis have also been ground as a flour in Europe and a kind of perry or cider can be made from them.

So would love to hear others experiences or any information that you have about this plant.
Blessings
