We have had a few people join in the past few weeks, so I thought I would encourage folks to introduce themselves...even if you have been around for awhile, introduce yourself. It is helpful to know each other a little, when offering support.
As for me, my name is Linda, I am an herbalist, dancing in the wise woman way. I focus on nourishment and promoting health...treating only when needed...but never without nourishment. I see nourishment as the backbone to whatever we do. I love wild foods and plants in general. I also love folk music, raising rabbits, the moon, and spending time in kelp beds. My passions are many and I am never bored...Do share...
Blessings
Linda

as u know i am memengwaa...
i love herbal medicines and natural remedies... i am an RN and a practical grassroots, barefoot herbalist... though i still feel that i should apprentice some more. i've also taken a clinical herbalist course as well.. i just can't get enough of it. i have many herb gardens and love to make medicine.. tinctures, oils, salves, poultices. i practice reiki along with yoga, and would love to some day learn shiatsu or some form of body work... i love it all. i am very interested in healing and in nature.
i also believe as u do linda that nourishment is key, and eating wild foods on its own, is spiritual and medicinally healing. i believe in reuniting our connection to nature, the earth and the plants. i believe that they need to be respected and honoured as spirit beings.... i believe in the shamanic medicine way... i believe that that is what a majority of society is missing and has forgotton in the western world. it is an essential link. in our psychological and spiritual well being which in turn affects our physical well being.
i wish i could spend all my time in nature and in my garden communing..
i am very happy to find tribe and to find like minded people that understand plants the way i do and that respect nature soooo much. it's nice to know even though i am very new here........... i know that i can ask advise and the advise will be very good, respectful and knowledgeable.. ;^)
sooo much love.. thanks..
