I had the icky experience of telling a guy that I wanted to date my status, which surprised him but he took it well and is not going to let it stop our relationship. Of course, he wants to be protected so is my only choice to take Valtrex everyday? I try to live a low-stress life so I don't feel I'm much of a risk, but you just never know. I'm just not very good at taking pills everyday. Advice?

Re: Being in a relationship
Thu, August 7, 2008 - 2:14 PMMake him wear a condom!
I recently started dating someone and told him my status before we had sex. Of course, as my virus works, I talked about it and I got an OB. So we had one week where we had no sex. He was really nice about it considering it was right at the start of our relationship. He's been informed of the risks and chooses not to wear a condom some of the time. I'm also aware of my fertility, so I make him put his raincoat on most of the time.
And check out some of Chis' other works here and on his site for non-valtrex ways to keep the little beasties in the house and not romping on the yard :) -

Re: Being in a relationship
Thu, August 7, 2008 - 7:19 PMThat is great that he decided to forge ahead.
Def check the natropractica.com, also the antiviralgel.com.
I am using the diet he mentions, and that has helped me immensely.
More than anything the diet has pretty much stopped my outbreaks, also sleeping enough, and going through my personal issues to be stress free pretty much.
I use full protection - condoms, plastic wrap, anti-viral gel, and it makes others confident who do not have it...but you can do what you feel is right, but I got it by not using protection.
Enjoy!
