Herpes and mood swings.

topic posted Tue, December 11, 2007 - 8:11 AM by  Donna
I quite often find, right before I am about to have an outbreak, I get very irritable, angry, short tempered and sometimes even depressed. This isn't because i know an outbreak is going to start. It happens even before knowing. Does anyone experience this or anything like it? I'm beginning to believe there is a connection with mood and this virus.

I can't say that I have experienced anything like this but it doesn't surprise me. Our bodies and minds are connected so it seems to make sense that your mood could be affected by an outbreak before you consciously know about the OB. It'll be interesting to see if others have experienced this. I think it could be a sign that you are more in tune with your body than you're even aware of.

Thank You...that does make a lot of sense. I do hope I am in tune with my body. I'm sure I could be taking better care of myself as well to balance out my mood. I know caffeine is a no no, although I do partake, not too often and very little but still. I also need to quit smoking again. Chocolate is also not so good for the virus, but no one is taking that away from me..hahaha Anyway....I look forward to more responses to my post....please enlighten me*~ Namaste
