Now that almonds, cashews, and peanuts are mostly out of the picture, what do people eat for snacks? I don't eat meat other than seafood, so beef jerky is out, but if I'm hiking, traveling, or just trying to hold myself over until a meal, I'm at a loss for things to grab and run.
I also have trouble digesting garbanzo beans (hummus) and other lugumes.
can one make an interesting trail mix with sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and pinions?

Tue, April 29, 2008 - 8:37 AMI'd like to look into this allot more, and put together more Herpes snak food.
But from off the top of my head.........
Snaks that I eat include: Dry fruit (apples, dates, pair, FiGS, banana chips ), fruit, yogurt, parsley tea, nettle tea, carrots, cucumber with apple cider vinager, Fruit and Veggie Juices, I'd recomend getting a juicer :),
Yummy raw cookies: Place dates in a bowl of warm water for 10-15 min, till there mushy.
Cut them up, it makes a combinding past.
Then mush in what you would Like :) and let the dry, or put them in the fridge and Walla.
I mush in Hemp seeds, and ground flax seeds, a little honey
I'll look into more though, I am too interested increasing snaks
