Vinay says pulling in a side will increase the roof peak and make the roof capable of bearing snow loads; the 5-sided pentayurt! Working on a model now... but if anybody has any drawing software, a drawing will speed the concept. I am still thinking about starting with a temporary structure to evolve into a permanent structure with grancrete or some such coating.

Mon, November 12, 2007 - 6:08 PMi have a pirated copy of illustrator - i don't know how that sits with you, morally, but if you'd like, i can provide it for download. I've used it for drawing plans - i designed a deck and a pvc yurt almost exclusively on illustrator. -

Sketchup is a really good tool and it's a free download for Google - I did some models for the pentayurt last week, but I forgot to post here!

Thu, November 22, 2007 - 9:30 AMI'll second the Sketchup Software. You will be able to draw whatever you want in 2 or 3D and do a walk thru like you are really there.
