Nathan spotted it first, and I took some photos of it, but there are 3 coins in the pile of treasure on the Pirate's Lair Island thing. I *must* remember to post the pic.

The world's Biggest Hidden Mickey

So I saw this on the net.. there used to be a much bigger one but it was revamped... supposedly this one is done from an orange grove about 20 minutes NW of Disney World

Video Games

There are hidden Mickeys on rides and all over the park on decorations and what not. Would you buy a video game if you could maybe see hidden Mickeys? Have you seen any games with hidden Mickey's in them yet?

Just joined this tribe and wanted to introduce myself. I'm Moriyah and I have been a Disneyland addict since the age of 7 when I was growing up in Long Beach... now it's completely taken over and Hidden Mickey's are my latest interest at The Park.

I can't wait to share all the Hidden Mickey's I have found... my best girl is way more obsessed about Hidden Mickey's then I am, but it's always fun finding new ones every trip. I'll try to post tonight after I make sure the ones I have aren't already up on the board. Thanks for the fun!

What is a Hidden Mickey

The debate was had... and I found this entry on Wikipedia that I thought described it best.

The link also gives some great info about the 50 hidden ears from a couple years back.

A Hidden Mickey is a subtle formation of a silhouette of the head of Mickey Mouse and his two ears, a more complete representation of Mickey Mouse (such as Mickey mixed in with a crowd or in the background), or a representation of another character (such as the huge hidden Jafar at the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail in Africa in the Animal Kingdom). Mickeys may be painted, made up of objects (such as rocks, or three plates on a table), or be references such as someone wearing Mickey Mouse Club ears in a painting.

When the shape of Mickey Mouse is used as an obvious part of the design, such as Mickey ears on the top of lampposts, it is considered decorative. A true Hidden Mickey is one that is not obviously meant to be seen, such as when a Disney artist places the shape of Mickey in a context that would normally not contain Mickey Mouse.

My personal concept for this tribe.... are the ones that are not decorative, and not naturally occurring.. like three leaves that fell together.

Last time we were out Saryn and I spent some time trying to find Hidden Mickeys-
All I can remember off the top of my head-

Pinnochio-

When you go to Pleasure Island, near a large popcorn box, on the floor are painted pieces of popcorn-one of those is a hidden mickey

As you pass the Blue Fairy, thru the toy shop, there is a large wooden ship in a display case- the carving on top of the case is a hidden mickey.

My last trip to the park I finally got to ride Peter Pan again-

In the nursery on the floor, the building blocks spell out Disney and Peter Pan.
As you fly over London, 3 craters in the moon make a hidden mickey.

No photos of course-I'll try and remember to take pictures next time I am there :)

as I just discussed with CAT.

Please remember... if you have random circle mickey mouse heads... feel free to post on hiddenmickey.com. THIS tribe.. I would really like to keep to just pictures of Mickey Mouse heads that were deliberately put there by the imagineering teams that designed the rides. If you have questions as to what I am looking for. Please look at the pictures of Buzz Lightyear and Pirates that I posted. Three leaves that fall in a mickeymouse shape is NOT what I am looking for.

I am not trying to be a mickeynazi... but I did have a very specific desire when I created this tribe. Keep on trying... and if you have questions about if you think one is one.. please message me.

Went to Dizz Knee Land with a mission! Fun, but exhausting to always be looking! Saw some but didn't get a photo of them. I'll be back in 2 weeks so I'll try to get those.

Some of my HMs are debatable, but hey! I don't see any rules posted!!
