Join the High Desert Belly Dance Guild for its first showcase of 2008 at the 541 Lounge! Beginning at 7:30 p.m., our show will feature guild members performing a variety of styles of belly dance.

You can help us make our first showcase of 2008 a huge success by joining us and bringing your friends and family! The Guild’s quarterly showcase is open to the public and all Middle Eastern dancers who are Guild members are eligible to perform regardless of experience. Guild showcases provide an opportunity for amateur dancers to gain performance experience, as well as a venue for professional performers to promote their talents within the greater Central Oregon community. Dance spaces are limited and dancers must pre-register by contacting Sahara.

Established in 2005, the High Desert Belly Dance Guild supports Central Oregon's belly dance community. The mission of the Guild is threefold:
• To promote belly dance to the public as a legitimate art form.
• To provide professional development and performance opportunities for members of the belly dance community.
• To facilitate communication among members of the belly dance community and to provide opportunities for community-building and support.
