Do you use humor in your dance?

I haven't tried it yet, but I would really love to dance a parody style dance. We've flirted with humor in our dances but haven't gone full out yet. I think you have to be really good to pull it off, and we're just not ready. But someday!

Aside from making silly faces if my hair gets caught on something and stuff like that I haven't really incorporated humor into my dancing. Joy yes, humor no. Honestly I haven't seen very many good comedy dances, sometimes they over do it IMHO, but just as I've seen not so good, Im sure there are a lot of great ones out there.

i do it a little bit when i'm dancing hip hop fusion belly dance. but not with regular raqs sharqi so much.

it kind of comes out as part of my personality.

i did a fusion piece to Akon's song "belly dancer" and the lyrics are so cheesy (in the mainstream hip hop way) that i had to do a couple of 'arms-crossed-over-my-chest-run d mc-style' kinds of things, or i might flirt with a group of audience members and then make them 'talk to the hand'.

i just have fun with it. if i'm dancing to pop/hip hop music it's kinda funny and ironic anyway and i just refuse to take myself too seriously : )
