So we can get to know each other better, I'm going to try to post a new question every week...but don't hold me to it.
The Question of the Week (QOTW) for April 13 (I know, I know...I'm late) is:
What's your most irrational fear?
My most irrational fear (and I'm rather embarrassed to admit this) is the fear of...crickets! I'm not really afraid of other bugs. Even grasshoppers are okay, but crickets scare the *bleep* out of me. Just the sound of a cricket is enough to make my heart beat faster.
Okay...stop laughing! I did say "irrational" fear. Anyone else want to play?

Re: Getting to know you (and us)!
Tue, April 15, 2008 - 11:12 AMGetting my teeth cleaned. Totally like nails on a chalkboard for me. And although they feel so much better afterward I can't get myself to go as frequently as I should. -

Tue, April 15, 2008 - 2:52 PMroaches, puppets and marionettes, mice. -
-
Re: Getting to know you (and us)!
Tue, April 15, 2008 - 8:21 PMI have an irrational fear of flying and heights. I guess the two are somewhat connected.
I don't think being afraid of having your teeth cleaned is irrational, I think that is very sane, it just has to be done. I have decided I would rather get a tattoo then go to the dentist, sigh. -

Re: Getting to know you (and us)!
Tue, April 15, 2008 - 9:58 PMI have a few fears which are normal, like heights, and roaches.
Irrational? Milk. In a glass. Looking at one makes my insides shake.
I'm lactose intolerant. Drinking one of those puppies would do some serious damage to me!! Whats worse is I love ice cream!!! -
-
Re: Getting to know you (and us)!
Tue, April 15, 2008 - 10:27 PMI think a fear of milk is perfectly rational for someone who's lactose intolerant! Too bad about the ice cream. Have you ever tried Tofutti? -
-
Re: Getting to know you (and us)!
Wed, April 16, 2008 - 2:33 PMDo they make a fruity tofutti???
Sorry....I had to ask ;-) -
-
Re: Getting to know you (and us)!
Wed, April 16, 2008 - 2:41 PMI don't know, but they make Tofutti Cuties. -
-
Re: Getting to know you (and us)!

Re: Getting to know you (and us)!
Thu, April 17, 2008 - 8:43 PM*groans* Bad.
I've tried the Tofutti Cuties, but its so hard to stop at one!! Very tasty. I haven't found them at the store, only at Trader Joes. Have you found them elsewhere?
I've seen them in vanilla and chocolate. I've only tried the vanilla.

Re: Getting to know you (and us)!
Thu, April 17, 2008 - 10:25 PMI used to get them at Whole Foods when I lived in Newbury Park. I do most of my shopping at Trader Joes now, but the Tofutti website says Ralphs, Albertsons, & Food4Less carry them. If they don't have them at your local store, they can probably order them for you.

Re: Getting to know you (and us)!
Fri, April 18, 2008 - 11:59 AMEither my irrational fears have already happened to me, and are therefore no longer irrational, or they are completely rational.

Re: Getting to know you (and us)!
Sun, April 20, 2008 - 4:10 PMok how weird.....I don't think I have any.
I even asked my husband. He can't think of anything that I'm afraid of.
I got wigged out at The Ring, but that's the last time I was "frightened".
I'm nervous as all Heck about dancing at the TC pre-party on the same stage as some of the most amazing dancers I've had the blessing to see, though. Yeah, you know, I think I can count that as a fear. I'm afraid I'll let people down, after they see such amazing women dance....I won't be good enough. So there ya go! I'm afraid of letting people down. :) -
-
Re: Getting to know you (and us)!
Sun, May 11, 2008 - 9:00 PMOh Karma, you could never let everyone down! You rock, sister!! I'm sure you were absolutely lovely, and I'm so sorry I couldn't be there!
I have so many irrational fears, there isn't enough room in this box... so let's go with the biggest one... the fear that someone driving on the other side of a two line highway will plow into me head on! Now that's a scary thought!
