Question of the week - 5/18/08:
What year/make/model was your first car? Pictures?
My first car was a 1965 Ford Fairlane 500 Sport Coupe. It was bought new by my grandfather, then passed down to my mother, and then to me. I'm sure I've got a picture of it somewhere. I'll try to find one and scan it...

Re: This week's question
Mon, May 19, 2008 - 3:55 AMI had a powder blue Chevette, best little care I ever had. I can't remember what year it was, late 70s or early 80s. Up to that point, I just drove the folks' cars. I probably do have a picture of it somewhere, I'll look and see if I can find it.

Mon, May 19, 2008 - 7:52 AMOh, geez....brown 1980 Datsun 310 GX that some idiot had installed a European transmission into, and the clutch would get all funky on hills so many was the time that I'd have to pull over and bleed it on the side of the freeway.......I learned a lot with that car :) Her name was Sweetheart (as in: Come ooon, sweetheart, just make it up this hill!!!!!).

heh heh.
Good stereo, and it could haul ass through the South leaving not a trace.
Until I threw a rod on the streets of Atlanta...
While living in Memphis...
THAT was an interesting trip back.

Re: This week's question
Wed, May 21, 2008 - 1:55 PMMine was a 1983 Nissan/Datsun Sentra, silver, manual. I learned how to drive in it a couple of years ago, and never crashed it! At least it has a nice stereo and amplifier, and sounds nice. Oh Oh oh and it has A/C, for those hot two weeks of the year!

Re: This week's question
Sun, May 25, 2008 - 8:00 PMCrazzzzyyyy Question, LOL!!
Mine was a 1968 Opel Kadette (yes go ahead and laugh). I had save all of my paychecks from working in the school district purchasing office after school. I actually bought the car before I earned my permit and couldn't drive it.....torture. It was orange with a black racing stripe. I later moved on to a 1975 brown Ford Pinto. The Opel was handed down to one of my brothers who "rolled" and sheared the top off. This happened in West Covina.......the divot/gash still remains in the curb on Garvey Avenue to this day.....Great memories.

Sun, May 25, 2008 - 11:13 PMDude! Great question! My first car was a truck... I had a blue Toyota Pick Up, it ran forever, until it hit a tree one day and rolled down a cliff... ahhh, now I'm sad. :( -

Re: This week's question
Mon, May 26, 2008 - 2:20 PMI had a 1970 Chevy Nova, army green with the vinyl top. Loved that car! It was my grandmothers, so when I got it it was in great condition and had never been over 60 in it's life, then I came along.... I miss that car to this day, but it sure sucked in the snow.
