So, I'm officially stirring the pot!!!
What grand schemes and fantastic floral follies do you have planned for next year?
Any edibles for the Elizabethan table?
Period potted plants to grace the guild yards?
Enquirin' minds gotta know!!!
For me it is two new Autumn Damasc roses for cutting, and candied rose petals.
If they produce well enough, I might try rose petal jelly!
Also going in next year is Lavender!! i CAN HARDLY WAIT!!!
So, What are YOU all up to?????

Re: Too quiet around here...
Mon, October 8, 2007 - 8:26 PMI just started gardening this last season. I grew some " Painted Lady" runner beans ( named after our Glorious Queen!) - like everything else in my plot, it grew quite well, but did not set any fruit. Back to the drawing board! I want to find some true Damasc Roses - Oh! the fragrance!! Good luck with yours , P. B.

Thu, November 1, 2007 - 10:07 PMThe seed catalogs are starting to come out with their evil temptations....
Hmmmnnmmm... heirloom vegies for the table, antique apple and other fruit trees!!
If I get everything that I want, I will NEED some SERIOUS ACREAGE!!!! One of the apples that I ran into is advertised as being the oldest English apple still around. (from about 1200 or so...) I am going to be growing some of the oldest varieties of stuff I can get my hands on, especially if they are truely different in appearance from the modern varieties that are so common.
