freezer storage

How long can I freeze homemade baby food for it to still be safe and nutritious? I'm making a batch of steamed carrots and boiled chicken and was going to mash it up and then freeze them in baby serving size... but how long can I keep it in the freezer for? Thanks.

I think it depends on how big a batch you are making...those cubes go fast in my house! i have like 9 different flavors and i'm always making more. I only make 2 ice cube trays of each kind though at a time.

I would imagine that 2 months would be good and safe and not longer than 3 months to stay nutritous. That's just a guess of how long I would eat something from in the freezer and not notice any change in taste. Oh, and use the Freezer Bags - they tend to keep the cubes frost free and good looking (which I also translate to be a good sign)
