Okay - this is another gift I did for x-mas. I did not come up with the idea - they are playfully called book "thongs", but basically they are bookmarkds on stong thread and beaded. When I made them I added a charm that to me represented each person - or something they liked.

I hadn't thought much about bookmarks, but they would make an especially great gift for kids-- sort of an encouragement to read! You could give a handmade bookmark for almost any reason: good report card, new milestone reached, or just because. -
