3 liter bottle gift bottle..

I have made this and mailed and believe it or not ,it arrived with such a colorful and awesome popularity with the mail carriers..lol..wash out the bottle and dry it, then lay on side and snip or with scissors cut down two sides and across..it'll look like a flap..large but not too big a flap to be able to fill with surprises for the person you mailing it too ..I added colorful easter grass or you can add beautiful and colorful tissue paper and continue filling with surprises of small gifts..once done cover flap with a mailing label..the one that u get from post office that has adhesive on back and cover the flap..(but fill out the label before covering over the flap)..once done..take it to post office and have them put correct stampin on it..OR you can put in a box and mail it and it'll be a even bigger suprise when it arrive to that special person....it's all fun and it's a conversation piece..Just use a little imagination..you'll be so appreciated for such a creative gesture.. Good luck!

This sounds like a great idea! I have found a wonderful, "cheaty" way to give Holiday gifts a little umph. (Yeah, I know--January isn't really the most helpful time for this!) I take pretty containers from gifts we've been given in the past, decorate them, and refill them with whatever I want. For example, two years ago, my son and I each received hot cocoa mix in very pretty glass bottles with a latching glass lid. They came with a Santa Claus spoon attached by one of those gold stretchy ribbons. The next year, I filled one with mulling spices for hot mulled wine and the other with the ingredients for making spiced apple cider, and attatched directions to each.

This year, I bought some Bailey's chocolates for stocking stuffers. They came in a pretty, clear plastic container. I plan to paint it prettily and fill with something or other for next year. Sometimes, reusing packaging can be half the gift!
