Where is Chiron in your chart?

topic posted Tue, October 24, 2006 - 7:33 PM by  Bluesky
Chiron the centaur, the wounded healer, the teacher, the asteroid, where is he in your chart? My chart shows Chiron conjunct my acendant(aries), so I got the book by Barbara Hand Clow, Chiron. She describes the mythology and energy of the archetype and its impact on society and individuals. When she first learned of Chiron, she had a "revolution of conciousness". I also learned much about myself, my gifts, and my responsabilities.
Please tell us what you know about Chiron, or place him in your chart and learn and share.

i've got clow's book....i wish i could remember the author of the other book on chiron, which i gave to a friend; it was even more illuminating than clow's book.

depending upon which house system i use for my chart, my chiron is in aquarius in the 4th or 5th house.

i'm still absorbing and studying the symbology, as my chiron return is in a few years.

I've recently become much more interested in the asteroids in astrology charts ~ I now include Chiron & a few others in all the charts I look at. I find the symbolism almost 'frighteningly' accurate with the asteroids ~ to see what I'm talking about, go to www.astro.com & after you've entered in your birth data, select the 'extended chart options' & then take a look at the VERY long list of asteroids & their numbers ~ pick a few asteroids that are named after significant things in your life & plug the numbers into your chart ~ the placements in the chart are VERY telling!......

here's a few links to Chiron info.

my Chiron is in Aries, 12th house ~ my chart is posted in my profile

Chiron is in Aries, 7th House for me (Astrolog says "Chir: 2Ari07R +2°51'") I'm pretty sure that "R" means retrograde.
I don't know enough about astrology to know how to interpret that.

usually 'R' after a planet or asteroid position means retrograde (in astrological terms, the best description i found was that retrograde planets are 'internalized' rather than outwardly expressed....but that's just my synopsis after how many years reading all those books? i lost count!)

if it's on the descendant, i'm assuming that means it's 7th house (though it could be 6th house), just opposite the ascendant (which gives the rising sign).

7th house is interepreted as house of partnership, or house of open enemies; 6th house is often interpreted as house of health, house of service (both are other oriented, rather than self oriented).

interesting so many people with chiron in aries....makin' me feel kinda old here ;-)

and also might point to a generational influence about unmasking the wounded healer and bringing it right out front....

My Chiron is 17 deg Aquarius conjunct my Moon 13 deg Aquarius and both in the 8th house. I'm not sure of all the kinks and quirks this gives. My 8th house moon as been interesting enough in my life. Chiron on top of it has been VERY interesting.

My Chiron is in Aries on the 12/11th house cusp.

(I do think I have a knack for healing communities that I don't always understand -- to be honest)

It is conjunct Jupiter and retrograde.

I have read a book -- called Chiron... but I forget the author, but Zane was mentioned. This author talked about Chiron as... learning how to use the subtle energies of the Universe for good... it was a very good read, but a rushed one which is why I didn't get to internalize it as much as I would have liked.

My Chiron is sitting in my 9th house in Taurus...in opposition to my group of planets sitting in Scorpio in my 3rd house...my sun, part of fortune, uranus, mercury, venus retrograde and mars.....still need to learn more about this...I'm studying astrology at the moment and trying to understand my Chiron...oh it is retrograde as well.
I study and read Tarot cards...and have had reluctance to step out into the spot light...and really open up to my conduit abilities....but this is part of my calling.....yet my reluctance...or hesitation...I believe might be due to my Chiron retrograde...and it being in an fixed Earth sign...

My Chiron is also in the 9th house in Taurus... maybe we can help each other understand what that means, exactly?
Mine isn't retrograde though, I'm pretty sure.

        Chiron, 9th house, Taurus:
your "wound" ~ where it seems that fate has left you at a loss ~ would concern travel, adventure, higher education & mind expansion ~ in Taurus that implies a sense of slowness and/or emphasis on basic value and/or direct contact......

so, I would say that you feel not as well traveled and/or educated as "other people" because you got off to a slow and/or less than ideal start ~ you feel your foundation for academic sophistication is somewhat lacking & that it's impossible to make up for lost time

rather than attempting to catch up yourself, you would find more satisfaction in mentoring others and/or traveling/exploring/adventuring with others who may find themselves in similar situations to yourself

        just my *hunch* :)

Wow, a few Chiron in Aries people here! Cool. :)
Me too...mine is Chiron in Aries in 1. AFAIK, in my own case anyway it means that the wound is in the area of physical self esteem specifically...how I've felt about myself physically at times. The healing ability from what I've read is the ability to inspire people...if someone's doubting themselves or worrying about whether or not they are able to do something, I've found I can sometimes reassure them in a way that they're able to believe.

Natally I have Chiron is in the 8th house in Aries opposing Sun Mars Uranus in Libra in the 2nd which trine Saturn in Gemini in the 10th which sextiles Chiron. A yod? Chiron has manifested in many ways over the years such as intense physical and emotional pain which becomes stuck and aggravates an already volatile Moon Pluto opposition (Pluto in Libra in 1/2nd cusp, Moon in Aries in 7/8th) and has been known to create much turmoil in my life. The Rainbow Bridge Between Worlds by Barbara Hand Clow was probably my strongest informant of Chiron's energy. She speaks about it being the connecting point between Saturn and Uranus... a transition from the mundane human world into cosmic intelligence and the higher mind. The way I perceived Clow's interpretation was that once we have faced our karma and accepted its many challenges (Saturn and in particular its return) we become privy to moving beyond the lower realms of perception (i.e personal referencing and habitual reacting) and more open to the connections that are available through Uranian energy and the planetary energies that exist beyond - i.e Neptune and Pluto. The energy that we must work with to attain this free flow of spiritual or higher self connection is Chiron - the wound, and more specificially - the wounded healer. Clow speaks of 8th house Chironic natives as being a basic nightmare unless they have done their Saturn tour of duty. Once these karmic energies have been resolved, the darkness that IS the 8th house can actually come to shine as a beautiful renewed light of Phoenix like proportions. I discovered this to be true once I transformed my career (Saturn in the 10th) into a work of art and child like play (Saturn in Gemini). A moment's respect for the power of the HULAHOOP! In fact, once the absolute mayhem of my Saturn return had settled, I discovered so many different solutions to old problems. Cell-shifting movement thats seemed quite simple in retrospect but what a trip to reach that point of realisation. Did I mention a Leo Ascendant adds a whole lotta drama to life? Mostly of the amazingly creative and wondrous kind and then occasionally not so... The deal with the rainbow bridge is that as humans, we tend to often to live in our wound. As adults this isn't very useful or productive if we consider how this might impact relationships with ourselves and others, i.e negatively. It also blocks us from the cosmic mind as there is nothing personal about divine consciousness. To take on the challenge of evolving and growing out of our human skin and into your spiritual bird like selves we must be prepared to take full emotional and energetic responsibility - to resolve our issues as spiritual warriors so that our wounds may heal - and embrace the flipside of the pain and suffering that is too often a dominant and unconscious motivator for our thoughts and actions: the Joyous and Peaceful Healer within. We need to remind ourselves that we have choice and we can if we like reference difficult situations from a positive point of view that supports ourselves and others as conscious human beings rather than falling into the child-like states of hurt. Mostly we see this in intimate relationships when we are at our most vulnerable. The bridge that is Chiron is about TRANSFORMATION and MOVEMENT so that we can GROW and take steps towards our higher selves that sit perched in the cosmos waiting for us to catch up and get with the program that we ourselves create.
