I couldnt beleive all the negative responces. 99% of them were nasty towards me and sympathetic towards the women who called the cops on me and the cop who arrested me. I do realize my post is quite hostile, but at the time I needed to vent and was extremely angry...anyways..below I will copy and paste it...

Its fucked up.
So...recently I quit my job doing telemarketing with the evil company I was working for because the workplace was getting more and more hostile.
So I quit, and went to do some canvassing (fundraising door to door) for a non-profit that deals with environmental issues.
Its a stressful job and of course I got sent to fucking rich yuppie neighborhoods where people had houses of not just ONE, but TWO or MORE fucking SUV's!@ How DISGUSTING IS THAT!
Everyone who owns an SUV should hafta pay major taxes for every ounce of gas they burn with those polluting machines~!
The bible never said Babylon would be nice homes with manicured lawns, white picket fences, and fancy vehicles (hence why I dont refer to the bible for guidance)
Anyways...
I was in one of these Stepford Wives puke-worthy neighborhoods tonite, when this bitch decided to call the police for me because I was *hasseling her* with this information on environmental issues, and didnt just walk away the first time she said no thanks. So the bitch called the police who came minutes later as I was speaking to another woman, and they cuffed me painfully, put me in the car and made me sit there while they filled out paperwork. Then hassled me because I have a California ID, saying I need to switch it over to a NY one (even tho its NOT a drivers liscense and Im ONLY here temporary) and then the fucking PIG proceeded to tell me how people like me are a menace to society and are *harassing* people at home.
Well excuse the FUCK outta me that Im noble enough to actually try and EDUCATE these selfish greedy fucking maggot yuppies on important issues.
Of course if I was female and a big boobed blond, Im sure I wouldnt have been given anything...
But I was given a ticket, harrassed (never read my miranda rights) and threatened.
Nevermind that Im working for a 501C3 non-profit organization that in the township we were in does NOT require carrying a *soliciting permit/liscence*
which is what I was allegedly arrested for, which Im sure the TRUE thing, was that that bitch called in and she was rich and lived in her fancy neighborhood with her pesticide ridden lawn, her SUV and her fancy wood-chip chemical laden shrub garden, with her big fancy shmancy house.
That bitch can just kiss my hairy 3 quarters white, one quarter native american genderqueer drag-diva vegan, Essene, environmentalist activist ASS!!!
But then again, my ass is too good for her! She couldnt even afford to eat my shit.
Its DISGUSTING how these people get away with this shit. Yet if I happened to be a mormon or fucking jehovah witness harassing them door to door THAT doesnt require any kind of permit.
Fucked up government! I heard something the other day too about how the SUV owners get tax breaks too.
Anyways....so Im scheduled to go to court on August 14. It will probably be thrown out by then, but even if it isnt I have an attorney through the nonprofit I was working for (speaking of which, I QUIT) since they obviously dont have their shit together, and even if we didnt need a permit in that town, didnt have any info with us to show in case something like this does happen. Leave it to me, to be the example, and the lesson.

Now in saying this I understand how some people may be upset by what I said, but everyone who responded failed to see the importance in the cause, regardless, and thats sad!
I realize that many people are ignorant of these important environmental issues, and ignore them because deep down they do care, and dont want to pay attention to them, lest they have feelings about it and have to do something. Its easier for them to ignore.
Whats your feedback here?

I can totally relate to your anger and frustration. Vent vent vent - as our anger can be a motivator and a significant force for change.
We live in a global fascist state so encounters like this seem inevitable. It is not as much of a police state in Canada (yet) so you are welcome to come here. But it sounds as though you are needed there.
Sadly it does not surprise me that you received a negative reaction on Tribe as I sense that many people here are quite privileged (me included) and have difficulties confronting a distinct reality - we in North America and Europe have been the main cause of all this global death and destruction and to change that would mean giving up our privileges and possibly the end of our civilization.
You seem like a trailblazer. Perhaps you can dream up ways to step out of the box and find more radical ways to address these issues. Don't forget that the 'powers that be' who allow charities to exist are the same powers that drive the police state; so their ability to affect real change is often limited by bureaucracy.
You are not alone in this. It is a complex and urgent problem that many are struggling with in many different ways.
Be strong, intelligent and compassionate when confronted with organized and institutional ignorance. Many are confused by the haze of deception and collective dementia. Remember this is a disease we are dealing with.

Tue, July 24, 2007 - 1:45 AMActually..the negative responces werent on here...most on here have been good, or at least constructive. The negative responces were on rawfood.com and on a fetish forum I take part in (that part didnt surprise me much...) but the rawfood site I was shocked...
but in retrospect doesnt surprise me much either.
Yeah..Canadas awesome.
But alas I am needed here..and if anything Im moving south to costa rica, or east to new zealand or something. who knows..no immediate plans except to go back to San Francisco as soon as I can afford to.

Many people just don't understand, others don't want to be bothered or have their precious lives interrupted by some "Activist Peddler asking for money or whatever"!
There were a few, however, that totally got it and supported the cause for which I worked.
I didn't stay at the position long, becuz I didn't feel I was cut out for that job, and maybe you aren't either. That is for you to ultimately decide.
Anyway, on another point, I completely agree about the SUVs too. They should DEFINITELY pay a hefty DMV annual fee to keep an SUV. It especially bugs me when I see people commuting to work in the morning in an SUV and there's just 1 person driving!! Can you believe that? All that gas needed to move that huge SUV just so that ONE person can go to work. They couldn't drive a slightly smaller vehicle or subcompact? Or even a motorcycle or take the bus? I drive a subcompact cuz I wanted to minimize my gasoline consumption and not produce too much Co2 in the process. Unfortunately, our Governor of California owns like 9 or 10 SUVS, HUMVEES, himself, so I doubt he will support an increase in DMV fees for SUV owners.
Well, good luck, with the court thing, Shek. Hope it all goes well. Just remember, some people won't change no matter what you tell them or show them. They are the self centered selfish ones who we need to feel sorry for. Hopefully, in the end, enough people will act appropriately to fight Global Warming and to protect/preserve the environment for the next generations.
