Wed, September 5, 2007 - 7:29 AMHi Linda,
Hi Linda,
I too had that old belief that you had to "give" love to get love, but that is farce. In the course of my journey I've found that being a "giving" never worked, no matter how much I gave or how hard I tried to be nice, kind, loving, understanding, caring, sharing, yadda, yadda. What I did find that works was when I replaced self-hatred and self-sacrifice with self-love. That I had to love myself first as unconditionally as I could in the moment and that when I love myself unconditionally, then I also share that with others...
BUT.. the catch is that others will no longer like being around you as you are no longer sacrificing yourself in the way you used to. Loving yourself doesn't make the people that feed off you happy, but it does make you happy, and that is the tough choice you are going to have to make if healing is really your intent.
Another understanding I have come to is that no one can heal you .. except you.... If you have a broken leg, sure another person can help you set the bone, but it is YOU, your spiritual/physical being that must heal your body. The same rule applies to our Emotions and altered Mind with all the false beliefs it has.
Lastly, sex is an expression of love, but sex itself is not love. Tantric sex is a method of achieving a heightened organism, it is not an orgasm that is the result of a couple being in an unconditionally loving physical and sexual union. BIG difference. Having a sexual experience in an unconditionally loving relationship is.. I feel, going to be one of the last things we experience in our healing journey as when we do that we will be also healing and aligning our chakra systems and spiritual bodies. Yes, you need a partner for that but it will be more like "right mate" as both will have done the healing that has brought them to this point of their journey.

I have been going through this for years, everyone telling me I will meet the 'right' person who will make everything better...
Looks like they have been here all along ;-)
Good luck to you, go out into the woods or anywhere in Nature alone and return "ALL-ONE"
