I just read on hooping.org that hooper, Jessica "Jaye" Pascual, age 20, was found dead on June 10 in Richmond, VA. I hadn't met her, but she had registered for Hoop Convergence and was so excited to come. Her spirit really came through in her emails.

After several exchanges, she wrote saying she needed to back out due to bad timing, ride trouble, etc. I tried to work something out for her. She was so close! However, she insisted too many things were happening for her to make it. Her ticket was passed on to someone on the waiting list.

I was shocked to read the news of her passing and feel so heavy hearted that she wasn't able to come. I know she was present in spirit.
