Next Convergence, I would kick Caroleeena's ass earlier so that you could all hear her beautiful performance piece!!! C, I know you posted that poem on one of the hooping tribes in printed form (a while ago). You should post it again here so people who haven't heard it could at least read it.

FYI, Caroleeena created a beautiful piece about hoop bliss, and she spoke it with such expression, while dancing with her hoop -- it brought tears to my eyes. As a fellow writer, I understand how it can actually be more nerve-wracking to get up in front of a group and bare your soul by sharing your writing than to get up in front of a group in a sparkly costume and shake your hips. I'm glad I realized Caroleeena secretly had a poem to share right before I taught my "writing your hoopdance" workshop. She closed out my workshop with her poem-dance, and it was perfect.

Next Convergence ... maybe we should incorporate time to share our hoop-inspired writing/music/performance work? Lots of us write, act, sing, play music, etc. I'm envisioning "Hoop Convergence" open mic night.

And Next Convergence, I'm going to bring a mug and some bomb-ass coffee to add to that coffee pot. I'm not a morning person either.

-By the time of Next Convergence, I will have manifested a new life for myself where I am not tied down by job committments & I'll stay at Convergence the WHOLE DAMN TIME & then some!

-Next Convergence I will either stay in the lodge or spend more time in the lodge & share the boombox that we had in our rustic cabin :)

-Next Convergence our bus WILL STOP at the random karoake dive bar & do a number..."Bohemian Rhapsody" anyone? ;)

-Next Convergence I will bring a headlamp instead of relying on my psi hoop as a light source :)

-Next Convergence we should build a hot tub ~ or a sweat lodge ~ or some other sacred hot space for us to sweat out our muscle aches & toxins simultaneously :)

- Next Convergence we will NOT leave at 11pm at night from Boston after working all day, not sleeping & arriving at 3pm the next day. That shit is just not safe. But I'd still rather drive than fly ~ it was loads of fun!

-Next Convergence I would hug you all 756 more times than this past one :)

Revolva, I like your idea of a writing share. We kinda talked about that this time but it didn't really come together. Next time for sure! (And I will post that poem here. Thanks for the encourgament and the kind words.)

Next Convergence...

I will NOT be pregnant, so I WILL be able to do all of the workshops!

I will find a babysitter for my kids, so I can experience the whole thing fully *present*.

I will sleep in the lodge with everyone else, and not freeze my butt off outside.

I will bring more people from Alaska so they can experience this wonderful hooping community.

I will take more notes, more pictures, and have even more fun - if that's possible!

I did not go..but next convergence I would liek if it wasn't the weekend before the end of tax season so I could go :)

Maybe after tax season...hahaha I hope that doesn't sound selfish!

That way I could meet all you wonderful people and truly be able to go and be present for such a great event.
