I haven't been active in this tribe, or on tribe.net at all for a good minute. We've been rollin' with this Carrboro Hoops Group on Facebook and general gmail services to gather folks for local hoop events, but it seems helpful to have another place to get messages out to folks and promote conversation. I thought it made most since to change this tribe name, rather than to start a new tribe, to match that one for another place to discuss, post events, connect, etc.

This tribe is not only for Carrboro peeps, as the gatherings here in Carrboro have certainly been bringing together folks from all over the state --- and even National/International spinners at times! Plus, hoop conversations are sometimes global:)

If you are hosting or know of an event, workshops, music happenings or jams of interest to spinners in Carrboro/Chapel Hill/Durham/Raleigh/Greensboro/Saxapahaw/Pittsboro and beyond, feel free to post. While I do have a local business for hoop craft & workshops, this tribe is open to others' workshops, gatherings as well. This area is too rich in hoopiness to be contained by one entity, teacher or corporation.

I consider all movement arts, meditations, environmental sustainability, wellness & community gatherings essential to personal growth, revolution and the mending of the sacred hoop. From this perspective, I believe other sorts of announcements and topics should be welcome here.
