Hey lovely ladies (and fellers)!
I just got a message from the guy who helps put on this festival, that is ironically scheduled the same day as World Hoop Day every year.
It looks like a blast and the line-up is great, AND it's close to a lot of you NC hoopers! If you don't have plans for World Hoop Day, you should definitely look into this and we can all celebrate World Hoop Day together!


Trinumeral is a 3-day camping, music and arts festival scheduled to take place from Friday, August 8th through Sunday, August 10th at Deerfield’s Amphitheater, in the Mills River community, close to the Asheville Airport. The retreat is a 940-acre family-owned tract of unspoiled wilderness offering camping, swimming, and hiking. Surrounding the ponds and two authentic cabins, apple orchards and rhododendrons cascade throughout the Queens Creek Mountains. Tent camping will be plentiful, with a secluded family camp ground set aside. Car camping and RV passes are also available at an additional cost.

    DAYUM! Sounds like a super phat time! It is DEFinitely GORGEOUS there.

    Brooke, if you're going for sure, you could chat with your friend about being a WHD representative. If you could organize a hoop give away, (and I'd surely contribute some hoops if I can arrange going) maybe you could get yourself and a few extra passes for hoopers to teach casual workshops on WHD. Just a thought...

      GOOOOOD THINKING! He asked me to volunteer and I agreed but I will throw this bit of info at him and see what I can do! I am definitly going! I think Caroleena is trying to shoot for it too! It should be a big hit for us a hoopers if we can get the word out :)

        Here is the response to the e-mail I sent to my friend! I know I am going to need help with this one, as I am a rookie to planing things like this. But, there's a first time for everything!

        I do know about world hoop day, but i had not put two and two together and deducted that it will fall around the time of our event. I will pass the idea along ... all my partners are out doing research at AM-Jam this weekend, but we will have a conference call when i get back and we will likely be able to arrange something for y'all. Could you write me up a descriptive outline of what exactly you plan to do and what you will need from us. If it goes over well we will put you in the activities section of the website with a small description of what you plan to do

        Also you know Micheal Kang and Travis will be at this event so I'm sure they'll be excited to know were hoopin!

          That's awesome Brooke. If you need any help, I'd be happy to assist. Even if you just want someone to read over the proposal before you send it in.

          Also, if unifire theatre is going to be there, you should consider contacting Melanie. She is an Asheville hooper who sometimes performs with them and may be helpful and eager to participate. She took some hoops down to Jamaica recently as a World Hoop Day Ambassador. She's a great hooper and a wonderful girl to connect with.

          wish i'd thought of looking her tribe id up first, but its probably under MelMacPink. She may also have info somewhere under Asheville Hoop.
