Re: leggie pattern
Thu, November 12, 2009 - 12:02 PMlol. i know 'let me google that for you" responses seem kind of snarky. but there's some good stuff in there
personally i've never used a pattern. it' pretty simple. i'd even reccomend just getting some cheap felt or other fabric and cutting out out pieces and size em up on your leg (with your shoes on) to see how it lays before chopping into your good fabric.
i'll try and describe the shape. it's like a rectangle. but bigger on one side (which makes it not a rectangle i know!) the skinny part of the rectangle is the part that goes around below your knee, the wider part is the flared around your feet part. folded in half the seam runs up the back of your calf. the long part is the length you want from top to ground. (taking into account the extra to hem the bottom and however you do you top. i just add a few inches tot the top to sew a drawstring casing. ties in the back at the seam. keeps them above your knees. some people use elastic or a band of stretchy fabric. thats how i do it, if it wasn't too confusing :P
i've never used a pattern just scissors, straight pins, and a measuring tape
good luck
