Need help with performance costume...

here's my challenge: i am not comfortable showing my upper thighs (i am sure at least some other gals can relate), and I have a performance gig coming up for which the attire should be sexy/sultry, etc

I need a way to support/flatter my upper thighs while also maintaining a grippy enough surface on them so as not to impede hooping--control garments make a great shape, but i fear they will be too slippery when hooping.

should I: layer fishnets over a control garment to improve grip? get/make a pair of Melo-type pants in a grippy/sexy fabric, etc?

I am totally cool with other parts of my body, and try to practice self-love...but I am also realistic. I believe in knowing what to show, and what to artfully conceal!

thanks all!

I know that American Appearal has lots of different types of leggings/tights that are condusive to hooping. They are kinda grippy so leg hooping works just fine. My friend Erin bought a really cute body suit at Party City and says the material is great for leg hooping. She posted a pic on this page I think. It was pretty inexspensive so you could alter it to be something else. I think your idea about support hose and then fish nets might work, but def try it on and practice, alot, ahead of time. I made a really cute outfit once and practiced a little with it on and had no probs. Well, the performance was a different ballgame. The sweat, momentum, and hairfalls all created much more problem than I had anticipated. Good luck and I am sure whatever you decide will be amazing.
